October 12, 2018 // Imatest, Image Engineering, Applied Image, and Imaging Science Associates have partnered together to alert the global imaging science community of unauthorized resellers falsely representing themselves to sell counterfeit and unapproved products and services. After several customers were adversely affected by phony products, leaders at each of these companies felt it paramount to join together to alert the global imaging science community in hopes of protecting customers.

Unauthorized resellers have come mainly from China; however, customers and resellers across the globe have received promotions and offers to buy or resell products purportedly developed by Imatest, Image Engineering, Applied Image, and Image Science Associates that are in fact counterfeit and unauthorized. Jeff Herman, CEO of Imatest, speaks about the effect it has on customers, “Each of our companies takes great care when selecting resellers to offer our products. We pride ourselves on the quality of results and level of commitment we provide to each customer. It is unnerving knowing customers who buy from these unauthorized resellers are deceived and not able to produce the test results they expect.”
